Judgement

Judgment #20- Ruled by Pluto- Fire Element

Judgment within the tarot relates to rebirth and hearing "the Call".  Often on The Judgment card you will see the Archangel Gabriel blowing her horn.  This is in reference to hearing the Call, your life purpose, or leading you in a new direction.  There is rebirth and change as well as choice and decision to be made.  Pluto is the planet of death, resurrection, letting go, forgiveness and unavoidable change.  Pluto allows us to see that although we have no power over death, we can let go gracefully of those things that need to die in order to create new beginnings.

According to Karen Harrison, herbs relating to Pluto often can bring about dramatic and sometimes traumatic changes in the psyche.  Pluto herbs can help to balance the physical with the spiritual.   I noticed that these herbs can often be transformed into an alcohol.

Saturn is the Ringed planet of boundaries and limitations.  Although the World card offers success, potential, the magical end all, be all energy, in order to become a success, we must each know our own limitations and we must set up powerful boundaries on the road to success.  Saturn speaks of our Karma so what we have sewn we shall reap and Saturn help us to learn the lessons of Karma.  Saturn tells us that integrity is key to success.

The Hermit

The Hermit- ruled by Virgo which is ruled by Mercury

Mercury is fast moving energy.  Mercury relates to communication of all kinds and messages as well as short distance travel.   The Hermit is the Guide, the teacher, the wise one and needs to be able to communicate clearly and express himself with confidence and wisdom.   The energy of Virgo is that of preciseness, organization, and service to others, as well as having a sensitivity to the energies that surround him giving the Virgo the gift of intuition.  These are all qualities of the Hermit.  The Hermit is always of service to others and also asks that you complete what needs to be finished. The Hermit asks you to go within and communicate with yourself, your intuition, your wise one, or to seek advice from an outside Sage.

Since Mercury governs both the nervous and respiratory system it is involved with conscious and mental focus, so the herbs that relate to Mercury are often gentle yet stimulating.  They can excite the nervous system through taste and smell as well as to help to heal the respiratory system.  Mercurial herbs bring in clarity and focus and open up the mind and lungs for a fresh breath.
